I am David, a field ecologist, writer, and eco-builder.  I have been living off-grid as simply as possible since 1998 - both in mountain and desert climate regions. 

I believe sustainability is both a moral and ethical calling, and most important if life on this planet is to succeed.  We must plan and act today if we are to leave a viable and fullfilling environment for those who follow us.
